BERLIN: ENGLISH PRESENTATIONS
Good morning to everyone. I am going to introduce you to my partner Xavi and my name is Alberto. We are going to talk about Berlin. Last month we visited the city and today we are going to speak about the culture, typical food and tourism
Firstly, we are going to talk about the Brandenburg Gate is an 18th-century neoclassical monument in Berlin, and one of the best-known landmarks of Germany.
The horses we can see on the top of the door mean the symbol of peace and this was the entrance to the new Berlin. Actually , Brandenburg tor is between Unter den linden avenue and with the beginning of Tiergarten.

Near this monument we can see Reichstag, the place where the president of Germany was chosen .During the second world war, Reichstag was bombed and It stayed in very badly conditions but was restored in 1980.
The most important monument is the Berlin Wall,
was a guarded concrete barrier that physically and ideologically divided Berlin from 1961 to 1989.Constructed by the German Democratic Republic, starting on 13th August 1961, the Wall completely cut off (by land) West Berlin from surrounding East Germany and from East Berlin until government officials opened it in November 1989.
Near the wall was the Checkpoint Charlie was the name given by the Western Allies to the best-known Berlin Wall crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War.
TYPICAL FOOD
The original dishes are Knuckle German, Currywurst and Kartoffelsalat. "Codillo" has potatoes, garlic, cabbage with mustard sauce and usually, people drink Paulaner beer.
About the Currywurst is a typical frankfurt with curry potatoes that you can eat in the street. The price is unexpensive, with one drink the price is 5€ and includes two frankfurts.
The Kartoffelsalat main ingedients are potato and frankfurt saussages,besides of several types of vegetables.

THE TOURISM
There is a lot of tourism in Berlin , because there are many monuments and places to be visited. Food is another thing that you can taste and, both of them are factors to visit Berlin, Tourism gives much prestige to Berlin and pays the attention of other countries.
In our opinión, tourism is the principal sector for the cities.
Berlin underground is very well built and the lines are well connected.
Finally we choose Belin because in our opinion people who live in Berlin are friendly and the monuments are different.
